  • Work  on a wall art project with mentor group at Oakbank school

  • Gala float project at Hainworth Wood community centre aimed at increasing activity and attendance at the centre as well as getting local parents involved as volunteers

  • Dance & Music Project at Braithwaite School for children with special needs

  • Community Wall Art at a local multi-racial school which has been subject to long-term problems, aimed at reflecting the ethos of the school and portray positive images for the children (they have been banned from putting pictures on the corridors by the fire officer)

  • Drama project with two groups of Asian girls about Bangladeshi acid burn survivors

  • Video, drama & music project with an  Asian boys group in one of the most problematic areas of town

  • 'Secret Diary' creative writing & visual arts project with young women at risk

2002-03  

  • Mural project continued

  • DJ & banner project at the Asian Women & Children’s Centre

  • Two more regular drum sessions begin

  • Regular school mentor groups working on a video project

  • Drama sessions at the Bangladeshi Community Association for Interfaith Day at Cliffe Castle

  • ‘Transition Day’ for Greenhead School mentor scheme to work with new intake of pupils

  • Activities for Dalton lane Boys group summer scheme.  This group was set up by local workers to address the problems in the Dalton Lane area, which has been at the forefront of rising drug culture, becoming a ‘marketplace’ with sellers coming from Bradford and the recruitment of young boys as couriers.

  • Activity sessions for the Youth Service as part of their summer Splash scheme

  • Drumming day as part of Town Centre Managements ‘Children’s Festival’ with the Small World drumming band ‘FireHazard’ giving their first public performance

  • Beginning of 12 month ‘Youth Voice’ video project 

2001-02 

  • 6 week summer project in visual arts and drama

  • Drum project taster sessions in the community

  • Renovation of over 13’s section of Winfield community centre

  • Prime Mover regular weekly sessions

  • Day In The Park, day event in Lund park with percussion performance and participation, arts sessions and entertainment

  • Mural project, working with local school children, for Bradford Council at Cliffe Castle animal enclosures

  • DJ and banner sessions at the Keighley Volunteer Bureau

  • Start of regular drum sessions

  • Activity sessions with groups from Oakbank School through the school mentor system (with Prime Movers)

2000-01 

  • ‘Sheep Race 2000’ a six week project at Schools and community centres across the town finishing in a town centre event

  • Session for Town Centre Management’s ‘Seaside Day’

  • Arts Networking Weekend for youth and community workers at the Ponden Centre

  • Session for Keighley Single Fathers Group Christmas party

  • Volunteer worker at St Michaels Youth Club at Bracken Bank for 12 months

  • Long term sessions with Prime Movers young volunteers

1999-00

  • 3 days costume and percussion making sessions at Bracken Bank local authority estate, working with over 30 young people for an end of summer parade.

  • Banner, withy & drumming sessions at Central Youth Club.  Working with around 20 mostly Asian young people

  • Mural in the crèche at Keighley Young Women’s unit

  • Lantern sessions & parade for young people at Haworth Arts Festival

  • Halloween lantern sessions with Southward Girls Group & Bracken Bank Youth Club
